Missions Philosophy
Grace Baptist Fellowship has become a church with a heart for the whole world.  As a result of deepening our love for our Savior Jesus Christ, We have also fallen in love with what He loves.  Few things are closer to the heart of our Lord than the issue of missions.  Specifically, reaching people around the world with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and planting New Testament churches to facilitate the discipleship of God's people.
One of the ways we accomplish our part in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, is through the financial and prayerful support of missionaries, both foreign and national.  We support our missionaries through what is called "faith promise" giving.  Another way we accomplish the Great Commission is through the continuous efforts of our own people to make disciples of men.  This involves the full scope of discipleship, from sharing the gospel and leading a person to a saving knowledge of Christ, to teaching that person to understand and apply the full counsel of God as revealed in the Scriptures.  When someone is saved and discipled properly, they in turn will be taught and prepared to go and make disciples as well. We believe that the purpose of the Great Commission involves the full discipleship process, and not simply the saving of souls. The product of the Great Commission is a new "disciple maker," not a new "observer" of Christianity.
